Chery Tiggo 8 - five- or seven-seater front-wheel drive crossover. The premiere of the model took place in February 2018 in China.

The Tiggo 8 was designed by a team led by Kevin Rice, who worked for BMW and Mazda before moving to Chery. This model features another iteration of the brand's corporate design, symbolizing a tiger ready to jump. The volume of the front of the body is emphasized by two parallel chrome lines that visually divide the radiator grille into three parts. The "powerful" front end is complemented by a massive stern with spectacular lights. By the way, the lighting equipment of the G8 is LED in all trim levels.

The Chery Tiggo 8 was based on the T1X platform, which was also used to create the Chery Tiggo 5X crossovers and Tiggo 7. MacPherson type suspension in front, and an independent multi-link in the back. The clearance declared by the manufacturer is 200 mm, which is not bad by modern standards, although you should not count on serious off-road qualities of the car, since it was created exclusively with front-wheel drive. And as for its dimensions, with a length of 4700 mm Tiggo 8 is only 80 mm shorter Kia Sorento.

The crossover is equipped exclusively with gasoline turbo engines:

• ACTECO 1.5TCI 147 hp and torque up to 230 Nm;
• ACTECO 1.6 TGDI 194 hp and torque up to 290 Nm;

The 1.5-liter unit is combined with a 6-speed Aisin "mechanics" and a 6-speed "robot" Getrag with double dry clutch. Such modifications are delivered to Ukraine. And paired with a more powerful 1.6-liter engine, which is available for the Chinese market, is a Getrag 7-speed “robot” with dual wet clutch.

Starting in 2020, a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo unit with 170 hp has been added to the range of Chery Tiggo 8 engines. and a torque of 250 Nm. It is paired with a stepless variator. Claimed fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 8.2 l/100 km.

All levels of equipment include dual-zone climate control, a rear-view camera with a dynamic display of the trajectory of movement, an electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, tire pressure sensors, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, heating and folding, power trunk, sensors light and rain and much more. In addition to airbags, in all trim levels, Tiggo 8 is equipped with modern security systems: ABS + EBD, ESP, and an uphill and downhill assistance system.

Cars with a 2.0-liter engine and a CVT are additionally equipped with all-round cameras, electric lumbar support for the driver's seat and a "winter package" that includes a heated steering wheel, second row of seats, windshield and windshield washer nozzles.

Chery Tiggo 8 is produced in China.
